Obstractive sleep apnea is a condition whereby the throat muscle relax blocking the airway. During these times there is not enough oxygen supply in the body. When the muscle that controls breathing does not get the signal it causes one to suffer from sleep apnea. Complex sleep apnea occurs when a patient has both central and obstructive sleep apnea. The most common type of sleep apnea is the obstructive sleep apnea. The the consistency of the problem determines the severity of sleep apnea.
